The final test is the Agency-Specific Skills Test. This test assesses a variety of skills relevant to the CIA, such as verbal reasoning, critical thinking and the ability to draw clear conclusions from large amounts of comprehensive data.
Successful applicants must undergo an intensive and comprehensive training program prior to receiving their full-time positions. During the training period, applicants will be immersed in an immersive and comprehensive educational program held at facilities in Washington DC and other CIA locations. Training typically involves a lot of fieldwork and intense instruction in areas such as operational security principles, defensive driving, operational psychology, operational intelligence, operational evaluation, operational planning and intelligence gathering.
